Also, not to get too nit-picky, her sonnets aren’t really sonnets. She forces rhymes where the poem would be very lovely without rhyme.

The fact that Emilie wrote it when she was a teenager made me appreciate it more. I confess that I am not really a fan of poetry and would not have picked this up were I not an avid Emilie Autumn fan.

I’ll have to admit that I skipped some of these poems.

Emilie Autumn:Your Sugar Sits Untouched (2005)

The book is pages 1,5 hours of audio sugaf, so you get a lot for your money. Some however do have a really dark undertone. Emilie Autumn has this amazing ability to put my feelings into lovely verses. Oh chocolate, thy shalt save the world in times of need and desperation, when thy force thyself to spend the night listening to poetry that may be of use if thy h AUDIOBOOK Basically Emilie coughing asthmatically into a microphone about some long lost loves, people she hates, muses she met, accusations, mistakes, tears she never tasted, etc.

Absolutely beautiful-Emilie Autumn, can protray love, hate, heartbreak, admiration, amusement, in these brilliant poems.

I’d recommend fans to give it a read, and maybe people who enjoy poetry about longing and love. It would have been more fluent if she lost this habit she has of trying to sound kensington when she’s Malibu. Everything feels false with her, robotic almost, there is never any emotion and I guess it doesn’t help that the author is a severely dishonest individual.

The compilation seemed to transition between several phases from start to beginning. Which I wouldn’t even give the one star, if given the option. This is a collection of heartfelt teatime poems made zugar Emilie Autumn. I’ve now read her book and listened to the poems of this record and am equally bored of both.

Feb 12, Alex Martinez rated it it was amazing Shelves: Feb 05, Ilse rated it did not like it Shelves: The pretty sounds didn’t make me want to listen past “Blackbird Sonnets” I just have to take everything with a pinch of salt with her. This is understandable, as they were all written between the ages of 13 and 18, which is quite young.

The truth is, though, a lot of these poems are mediocre, and some are just a bit not good I hesitate to say badbut Sep 21, Alan D.

That’s what I find grates with most of her music though, it’s always so samey there is never any freshness to it and this would have been better with just words. I honestly can’t say I really liked the book as yoir whole, but I did love some of the poems within.

Although many never heard of if until it’s digital re-release in because Autumn didn’t really become acknowledged until”Opheliac. Aug 27, Holly Wakefield rated it did not like it. Just as is her novel untouchev allegedly being cited at Oxford university which according to untouchee is in London anyways, they we’re banal with their want to be acknowledged as if “Shakespearean” misusing phrases like “thou, thy” etc, in modern context and extremely cheesy.

Oct 28, Charlotte rated it did not like it. It was bad poetry, not quite as bad as ex-boyfriend corgans I don’t know who else to compare it too but it wasn’t good either. Jun 19, Ashley Clark rated it it was amazing.

But, you know, why not?

I listened to Emilie’s voice this time and Auyumn still like her teatime poetry. The paperback printed version of this was released inas across the sky and other poems, however, did not contain many of the new poems untouchrd to this edition which was released in Since its fully-illustrated first edition hardcover release inThe Asylum Written between 13 and 18?

Most are about adolescent love, the loss of innocence, rejection and heartache — all a bit sigs I confess that I am not really a fan of poetry and would not have picked this up were I not an avid Emilie Autumn fan. Sadly her newly accompanying background music doesn’t help to improve the way the poetry reads. Her poems are wonderful, full of deep thoughts and emotions. It makes the record sound pretentious and actually aggravates the ears, which are wanting to focus on the unemotional verse, but can’t for a super repetitive harpsichord and strings chiming sugra throughout.

Always, she has this ugly tendency to fake a more intellectual accent that is so irritating, I had to listen to this record in six parts to complete it. There is untouchec peculiar variety of poetry in here. There is only one poem out of the whole list I emiile, one, and that was barely. The recording is really well done and the accompanying music goes so well with it, contributing to the poetry but never overwhelming it. Thanks for telling us about the problem. How I wasted that iTunes Christmas gift card I bought a PDF version at the Asylum Emporium, along with the audio album, which I find a necessity along with this, cause you get the feeling more.

Your Sugar Sits Untouched by Emilie Autumn

Sugar has kind of grown on me since I first read it. The other thing that makes it hard to listen is the American trying to sound British, the British don’t speak the queens English, we all have our own accents why isn’t this in Liverpudlian?

There I bought this on iTunes and I have been cringing since.

It felt more real, more full and the complete opposite to this type of work she has tried.
